The Mets came out with an inspired performance after a week off due to the rainout. Coach Rick had them charged up and ready to play, and the players certainly entertained their fans. The player of the week was Haylee Marken, for always listening, being baseball ready, and some of it had to be for her infectious smile. Although the entire team hit well, a special word should be said about the batting of Tyler Mooney. He had two very big hits which brought loud cheers from the Met faithful.

What a wonderful and exciting day for the T-Ball Mets and their families. There is nothing quite like the first game of the year, and it is even more special if it is your child's first baseball game ever. The weather was perfect and the kids tried very hard and listened well to their coaches. The only real question left unanswered is whether the players or their fans had more fun.

Pam (our team mom) needs to have the money for Coconut Creek Little League Marlins game tickets by Thursday, April 3rd. The game is on Sunday, April 20th and something the little ones will really enjoy. Game starts at 1:10, but be there by noon so the kids can go out on the field.
